Our warm and welcoming 2 AA rosette restaurant is the perfect backdrop to enjoy freshly prepared food using only the best seasonal, locally sourced ingredients from local suppliers with our seasonal vegetables from Eythrope, our productive garden, supplying vegetables, fruit, herbs and cut flowers for the Rothschild family as well as Waddesdon’s restaurants, hotel and artisan food market.

All 16 of our bedrooms have been recently refurbished to the highest standard; maintaining the historical legacy of the Five Arrows, but adding a contemporary feel to maximise guest comfort. The décor has been chosen to emphasise the feeling of comfort and is inspired by nature, with soft, calm colours and layers of wools and linens..

history
The Five Arrows is a Grade II listed building at the gates of Waddesdon Manor built on the site of an old coaching inn. Its name is derived from the Rothschild family emblem of a shield surmounted by five arrows, pointing upward and tied with a ribbon.
Built in 1887 as part of Waddesdon Estate by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild it was originally used to accommodate the architects, craftsmen and artisans working on the Manor itself. It was designed by architect/builder, James Taylor, who lived locally in Bierton; in his own “authentic” English style of half timbering, elaborate Elizabethan chimney stacks, and wrought ironwork. Architecturally it is one of the most striking buildings in the village.
